According to a report by DigiTimes, Apple is reported to ship 65 million iPads next year,the figure is way higher than everyone’s expectations. Digitimes reports that Apple has placed an order of 65 million components for its tablet in the year 2011. LG Display received an order for 35 million panels in 2011 from Apple whereas an order of 15 million has been placed to each Samsung and Chimei Innolux that will manufacture iPad parts in the first quarter of next year.
DigiTimes also reports that Apple will be shipping 3 different models of the next iPad, with Wifi, 3G and CDMA capabilities. They also cite industry sources that say Apple will ship about 500,000-530,000 units to channels in January with shipment ratio of Wi-Fi, UMTS and CDMA models at 3:4:3.
