According to Asymco Apple’s App Store will surpass sales on its iTunes Music store by March of this year. Apple is already celebrating its 10 billion downloads milestone that will be achieved this month. Asymco points out that it took App Store 31 months to achieve this milestone whereas iTunes music store took 67 months to achieve 10 billionth download. So according to Asymco App Store sales could surpass iTunes music sales by March.
Asymco has also pointed out that 60 Apps were downloaded from the App Store for every iOS device (iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch) sold.
