A Hacker has been able to hack Google Cr-48 to run Mac OS X. The laptop was given to developers by Google for free to test Chrome OS but this guy had different plans for his free laptop. The bios is not the stock bios but the hacker flashed the default bios to make the Mac OS X Snow Leopard run. Trackpad is not working that well but we hope that it will be fixed soon. Toshiba has announced its Windows 7 tablet in Korea, the tablet sports a 1.6GHz Atom Z530 Processor, 1GB Ram, 16GB SSD storage, SSD Card Slot, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 3.0, and cost $850. We have compared the tablet with the Apple iPad, have a look at the image above.

Windows 7 powered HP Slate 500 has finally been officially announced and priced by its creator HP. HP Slate is priced at $799 and is powered by an Intel Atom Processor. HP is aiming the Slate at the enterprise and business market, not just normal consumers.

“The new HP Slate 500 Tablet PC is designed specifically for business, enterprise and vertical customers looking for the mobility of a tablet, the familiarity of Microsoft Windows 7 and the ability to run custom or corporate applications.”

HP Slate is powered by  a 1.86 GHz Intel Atom Z540 processor has 2GB of Ram, 8.9 inch display, 64 GB SSD storage, and can handle up to 1080p video. It has a 3 Megapixel rear camera with a front VGA camera for Video Chat. The tablet weighs only 1.5 pounds and ships with Windows 7 Professional edition.

Despite all the news, rumors and reports HP Slate is still alive and is working hard to get on the shelves near you. Here is a video that has appeared from the wilds showing HP Slate running Windows 7. We first heard that this iPad rival was killed by its manufacturer then there were news that it would come with Palm OS instead of Windows (after HP acquired Palm) but we cannot deny that at the moment too. Check out the video embedded after the break to see this in action.

• Click to download the theme file. (link)
• After downloading it, extract the zip file with winrar, winzip etc.
• Download uxtheme multipatcher and extract it to a folder (link)
• Also, get the Styler Toolbar (link)
• Download viglance and extract it to a folder. (link)
• Double click UxTheme Multi-Patcher in the extracted “uxpatcher” folder. This will patch system files for applying any third party theme.Restart the computer.
• Go to visual styles folder, copy the “Windows Se7en” folder and the theme file “Windows Se7en” and paste it in c:\windows\Resources\themes folder.
• Click on the “Windows Se7en” theme file. The theme should have been applied.If not, do step 9 else go to step 10.
• Go the extracted theme folder – “windows-7-with-superbar-for-xp”. Get into the wallpapers folder and set any one of the wallpapers as desktop background.You can do this by right clicking the chosen wallpaper and selecting “Set as Desktop Background”.
• Go to the extracted viglance folder – “Viglance OneStep V1? and double click ViGlance OneStep application.

Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer was on The Today Show that is aired on NBC TV channel to unveil Windows 7. Everything was fine except the image on the screen at their back which featured an Apple first generation Macbook Pro that was showed as to be running Windows 7. I don’t know whether Steve Ballmer saw what was going on at his back because that would have made him very angry I don’t know how such a huge TV network could make such a stupid move that would make the whole world laugh on them and it is one of the biggest blunder this show would have ever made (iDiots). We did n’t saw that live coz we do not live in the US but we saw it on fellow blog Techcrunch.

Apple’s ‘I am a Mac’ ads are very popular and Apple has always used them to give open ad straight forward statements to Microsoft whether it was the flop ‘I am a PC’ campaign launched by Microsoft or anything else, Microsoft has never been able to give proper answers to Apple’s criticism. Apple did its best through these ads to bring down Vista’s graphs which they succeeded as Vista was a flop in its self. Now Apple has started to take down the newly released Windows 7 by its advertisement campaigns in which a PC guy and a MAC guy are seen arguing and in the last PC representing Windows loses the argument with the taste of embarrassment.

In “Broken Promises,” PC Guy flashes back to Windows editions over the years (with fashion or lack thereof to match), each promising not to have “any of the problems my last operating system had.” The ad ends with the line “this time it’s gonna be different. Trust me.” Ouch, Apple! We have put all three ads below for you to see.
