Finally all the rumors have come true as Apple officially announced 27 January event named “Come see our latest creation”. So Apple has something new for us as they have named their event but we are still doubtful about what will they present to us an iSlate and iPhone OS 4.0? Continuing the series of ‘rumors’ we now have one more for you and this one suggests that Apple’s tablet is ‘iPhone on Steroids’ and run on iPhone Kernel. This is what Boy Genius has revealed telling it has received the following information from a source

- The tablet’s multi-touch gestures are “out of control.”
- It’s powered by an incredibly fast ARM CPU
- It runs on the iPhone kernel.
- The internal model number is K48AP.
- There hasn’t been an updated iPhone OS build because there’s too much tablet-related code/references in the OS and Apple obviously didn’t want that to leak. Oops.
- The tablet is basically an “iPhone on steroids.”

The report is not the first to refer to Apple’s tablet as carrying an internal model number of K48AP as this has been claimed by another person on Reddit before.

The above information is totally a rumor like dozens before and cannot be trusted but can be considered good for spicing things up

France Télécom and Orange executive Stéphane Richard has confirmed in a radio interview that Apple will be launching its much-anticipated tablet device as has been rumored for later this month and this also confirms the existence of the tablet folks. AppAdvice offers a translation of the exchange between Richard and Jean-Pierre Elkabbach of France’s Europe 1:

Jean-Pierre Elkabbach (the interviewer) : According to Le Point (a french magazine), your partner Apple will be launching a tablet

Stéphane Richard: Yes.

Jean-Pierre Elkabbach: … equipped with a webcam.

Stéphane Richard: Yes.

Jean-Pierre Elkabbach: Will Orange customers also be able to enjoy it?

Stéphane Richard: Of course!, they will actually particularly enjoy it because the webcam will allow live video streaming. It’s a new take on mobile video-conferencing.

This interview confirm that iSlate will have a built in webcam and will be released later this month, Orange customers will have iSlate treat as well with video conferences.
