EA has released a brand new and re-imagined version of its classic game Tetris. The new game that became available in the App Store yesterday brings many new features and a new look to the old game everyone loves to play. EA’s Tetris game was already available in the App Store, but it seems as if EA has pulled the older game before releasing the ‘re-imagined’ version. The new features introduced the game include One-touch Marathon mode, Tetris Galaxy, Tetris Log, Tetris Rank, and T-Club. These features are explained below.

• ONE-TOUCH MARATHON MODE – Feel the power of this revolutionary new way to play the Tetris® game. Craft the perfect strategy and stack Tetriminos with the tap of a finger. You’ll have a few options, so choose wisely!

• TETRIS® GALAXY – Try this new multi-level mode! Clear to the core as you drop each Tetrimino with split-second intensity. And use power-ups to transform the blockade below!

• TETRIS® LOG – Challenge your friends and show off your skills in Origin.

• TETRIS® RANK – Keep a tally of every line you’ve ever cleared.

• T-CLUB – Join fellow Tetris® enthusiasts and gain an advantage with bonus lines and T-Coins.

PLAY THE BELOVED FAVORITE, TOO!
Enjoy the Marathon style you know and love – and get Korobeiniki (the world famous 8-bit theme song) to keep you going for hours!

Unfortunately iPad optimized version is now available yet. You can download EA’s Tetris for your iPhone or iPod touch from the App Store for $0.99 here

A recently released Cydia tweak called IAP cracker allows users to download In-App purchases for free. This tweak cracks in-app purchases as long as the app doesn’t check the purchase with the iTunes server. This tweak does not enable all in-app purchases automatically and it does not even work on many App Store applications. You have to buy/steal the In-App purchase like you would normally do.

I tested it personally and it worked on many apps that i am not going to name here because we are totally against any type of App piracy and i decided to report this news just because this is an unusual hack that we don’t see everyday and we would like Apple to fix this issue as soon as possible.

IAP is available in Cydia Store under Insanelyi and xsellize repositories for free.

Disclaimer: We do not recommend this tweak to anyone as In-App purchases are a major source of income for many developers who put a lot of work in creating awesome apps that we know and love. We are not responsible if this tweak does not work for you and you wasted your money in trying to steal the In-App purchases for your own pleasure.

iOS can be termed as the simplest and easiest mobile operating system when it comes to daily usage. You don’t have to be an expert for doing so called difficult jobs on your iOS device, however it can be a little tricky when you are not doing it right. Finding the IP address is one of those tasks that can confuse a newbie. IP address can be useful for a number of ways and knowing it enables you to perform a variety of tasks related to networking.

Thanks to this simple how to guide by OSXDaily, you can find out the IP address of your device by following the three simple steps below.

Tap on the “Settings” icon and navigate and tap on “Wi-Fi Networks”

Find the network name of the router you are currently connected to, and tap on the blue arrow button next to the active networks name

Assuming you are usually a DHCP address, scroll down and find the IP Address in the format of x.x.x.x, for example 192.168.1.2

PocketNow has posted a photo that is according to them was taken by an iPhone 5. According to PocketNow this photo that is claimed to be taken by an iPhone 4′s camera and has resolution of 2235×2291 (or 5.12 megapixel) was originally taken by an iPhone 5 and originally featured 3264×2448 resolution (or 8 megapixel) before it was cropped to 2235×2291 by the person who uploaded it on Flickr.

Evan Blass for PocketNow writes

This (very attractive) photo claims to have been taken by an iPhone 4, but the rest of its EXIF data tells a different story: although the image has been cropped to 2235×2291 (5.12 megapixels), the original picture was a much larger 3264×2448 — or just shy of eight megapixels. What’s more, the lens was recorded as a 4.3mm f/2.4, which is closer to that of a point-and-shoot than the iPhone 4′s actual 3.85mm f/2.8. (Remember that the upcoming HTC Runnymede is said to have an aperture of f/2.2.)

As noted by MacRumors and much to our surprise the person who uploaded this photo on Flickr is Anton D’Auria, who is an Apple Software Engineer working on Safari and WebKit for iOS.

9To5Mac points out that according to this image’s EXIF Data this image was taken at One Infinite Loop (that happens to be the location of Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino).

Apple is expected to release iPhone 5 in October that is going to feature a Dual Core processor, more RAM, an eight-megapixel camera, and much more.

Original photo with full EXIF data can be found here.

After a long time Facebook for iPhone and iPod touch has finally received a major update in the version 3.5. This update brings several new features and bug fixes to the native Facebook application. Most important of all new features is that Facebook app now allows users to tag friends and places in your posts. You can also share external links from the web view of the app and a new design for profile and group walls has been added to the app too.

Facebook has also improved the sharing tool that now adds privacy controls for your posts. Once you make changes to your settings, those changes are automatically updated on Facebook’s website too, and vice versa.

Here is the change log for this 3.5 version of Facebook app:

Made it easier to share with who you want
- Added the ability to tag friends and places in posts
- Added the ability to share external links from a web view
- Added new design for Profile and Group Walls
- Improved the sharing tool to add privacy controls on posts and match your settings on the web site

Improvements and bug fixes:
- Improved Notifications speed
- Fixed a number of Chat bugs
- Made it easier to select filters in News Feed
- Fixed a bug with the Notifications bar disappearing
- Fixed a number of Photos bugs
- Improved performance and stability overall

As noted by @Chpwn, Facebook has removed the elements of Facebook for iPad from this app, so after updating iPad users won’t be able to use that version of the application even with FaceForward Cydia Tweak. So if you want to keep on using the iPad version of Facebook app, stay away from this update. Facebook is expected to release the iPad version of Facebook very soon.

Joypad app for iOS, that recently became available in the App Store allows you to stream your iPad games to your Apple TV and use your iPhone as a game controller. You can simply do this if you have all three mentioned Apple devices. How this works is very simple, you download the app on your iPhone and connect it with your iPad via Bluetooth. Then once the connection is established with your iPad, you can then push the game installed on your iPad to your Apple TV using the Airplay service.

Once the game starts running on your Apple TV you can easily controls it using your iPhone. A small number of games are supported at the time but don’t worry as Joypad has also released their SDK so that more and more developers could make their games compatible with Joypad.

So if you want to enjoy the pleasure of console gaming through your iDevices, now you can thanks to the developers of the Joypad app.

You can download Joypad app for iPhone from the App Store for free here

As revealed by 9to5Mac Apple is going to launch a new remote diagnostics service for iOS devices that will be somewhat similar to the one already in use at Apple retails stores. How this service works is simple, iOS Diagnostics sends an email to iOS device that asks the user to allow a diagnostic report to be sent to Apple. That report will then be displayed within GSX (GSX is a tool used by Apple to organize AppleCare repairs) in near real-time.

Alongside email, users will be asked about these reports via SMS and a manual URL that will be provided to the customer.

Apple describes this new service as following:

“iOS Diagnostics is a fully integrated tool used to retrieve diagnostic information from Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. By sending an SMS text, Email, or Ticket to the customer’s phone, diagnostics results are sent to GSX; allowing to gain in-depth knowledge of the iOS device condition.”

According to 9To5Mac, the following information about the device will be sent to Apple in the report

Insight into usage patterns, battery functions, temperature warnings, memory usage, application issues, and more.

iPhone Dev-Team has released the updated version of their popular RedSn0w tool to tether jailbreak iOS 5 beta 7 on iOS devices. Apple recently released iOS 5 beta 7 and Dev-Team managed to jailbreak it in a short span of time. iOS 5 beta 7 was already jailbreakable with older version of RedSn0w but users had to point to iOS 5 beta 6 first in order to jailbreak it. But now users can directly jailbreak their devices with iOS 5 beta 7.

Below is the release note by iPhone Dev-Team

Update #7b: About 12 hours after we released redsn0w 0.9.8b7 with some improvements for iOS5b6, Apple went and released iOS5b7 (what are the odds of that?!?). Even though that redsn0w could still jailbreak iOS5b7, you needed to point it at the iOS5b6 IPSW to do so. Today’s redsn0w 0.9.8b7b lets you point redsn0w directly at the iOS5b7 IPSW instead.

We’ve also added some overall improvements for old-bootrom 3GS owners (where the 24kpwn exploit applies): on those devices, you can tell redsn0w to untether 4.3.5 and lower, or iOS5b7. Old-bootrom 3GS owners can once again choose custom logos, and/or verbose booting (for the really nerdy iPhone3GS fans out there!). And it allows 4.3.4 or 4.3.5 users to use ultrasn0w again (if they have a compatible baseband).

Last but not least, we fixed some lingering Verizon iPhone4 4.2.10 JB issues.

Download links for Mac and Windows are as following:

According to a leaked internal memo received by SprintFeed, the third largest US carrier has asked its employees to avoid any questions related to Sprint getting an iPhone this year. This memo was sent to employees by Sprint following a report by Wall Street Journal in which they claimed that iPhone 5 will be released simultaneously on Sprint, Verizon and AT&T.

“A recent Wall Street Journal article mentioned that Sprint is getting the iPhone 5. If you’re asked by a customer or just talking to friends or family members, you need to avoid making any comment about the iPhone and simple state “no comment.” ”

Interestingly Sprint does not want its employees to simply deny these iPhone 5 reports or say no to them, instead it wants to create suspense among its customers, which only adds fuel to the reports about Sprint getting an iPhone this year.
