PocketNow has posted a photo that is according to them was taken by an iPhone 5. According to PocketNow this photo that is claimed to be taken by an iPhone 4′s camera and has resolution of 2235×2291 (or 5.12 megapixel) was originally taken by an iPhone 5 and originally featured 3264×2448 resolution (or 8 megapixel) before it was cropped to 2235×2291 by the person who uploaded it on Flickr.

As reported by Bloomberg, German carrier Deutsche Telekom has already began the pre-orders of yet-to-be announced iPhone 4 successor that is unofficially named iPhone 5. Today the operator will hand out coupons to those who would request to buy next generation Apple iPhone without telling them about the release date or even the name of the device they are ordering.

According to a leaked internal memo received by SprintFeed, the third largest US carrier has asked its employees to avoid any questions related to Sprint getting an iPhone this year. This memo was sent to employees by Sprint following a report by Wall Street Journal in which they claimed that iPhone 5 will be released simultaneously on Sprint, Verizon and AT&T.

According to a recent report by WSJ, Sprint will finally get iPhone this year and become the third US carrier offering this popular Apple device. Sprint will join other two big players Verizon and AT&T, and offer the device on the same day as it is released. Getting iPhone on its carrier is a big win for Sprint as AT&T and Verizon are expecting big iPhone sales this year and now Sprint will also join the party when the device gets released in October of this year.

According to a new report by the blog 9to5Mac, Apple is planning to start the pre-orders for their next iPhone on September 30th while the actual launch of this device is said to be happening on October 7th or 14th, of which October 7th is more likely at this point.
According to our sources, Apple has been weighing between launching the new iPhone on October 7th or October 14th, but with the product’s latest stages of pre-mass-production currently moving along nicely, Apple is presently shooting towards a launch on the 7th.
The company has still not finalized the pre-order start date, but is debating between Thursday, September 29th and Friday, September 30th. The 30th seems more likely at this point according to one of our sources.

Japanese site Kodawarisan reports that Apple will hold its fall media event on Wednesday, September 7th. This is the event on which Apple usually announces new iPods and does other iTunes related announcements. Apple has traditionally held this event in the first 10 days of September as in last three years the event was hosted on 9th September, 2008, 9th September 2009, and September 1st 2010.

Following the alleged leaks of iPhone 5′s design by Chinese case manufacturers who have already started to make cases for the next Apple iPhone, MacRumors decided to render the design of iPhone 5 based on the information revealed by those cases. For the purpose they commissioned a design firm and asked them to create renders of iPhone 5 based on the measurements taken against the original case design leak.

A MacRumors forum member ‘guigsh’ has posted an image that he claims to be of an original iPhone 5. The forum member who posted the image above says that the picture was taken yesterday in the office of a French operator. In another post on MacRumors forum guigsh says that they were only able to see the device for 2 minutes and as they were not allowed, they somehow managed to take a shot of the device.

Taiwanese website DigiTimes reports that Apple has placed an order of 10 Million iPhone 5 units to Pegatron. The shipments for these orders by Apple will be made in September right on time for the speculated mid September or October launch.
Pegatron Technology has landed orders for 10 million units of iPhone 5 to become the second ODM of the smartphone. Shipments will start in September, according to industry sources.
With this order Pegatron has become the second ODM of Apple’s popular smartphone. Pegatron hopes that it will also soon become ODM of other Apple products including the iPad and the Mac lineup stating that the gross margins for iPhones are relatively lower than other Apple products.
