Google’s Android might have sold many more units than Apple’s iOS but according to Google’s own Suzanne Michel, 2/3rd of search giants mobile search requests comes from Apple’s iOS devices including iPhones, iPod touches, and iPads. When compared to  overall mobile searches received by world’s largest search engine Google, 2/3rd is a huge number. Something Android could not out do even with its immense growth.

Worth mentioning here is that millions of devices from other platforms are also in that 1/3rd area alongside Android devices. This information was revealed by Suzanne Michel, who is an Google employee during Senate Judiciary hearings today when she was under oath.

Google recently launched a new web app for its Google Music beta service. The web app allows iOS users to listen to music by signing into their Google Music accounts. Google Music is still an invite based service and is only available to US users at the moment. Previously on iOS devices, the full web version used to open when users pointed their browsers to music.google.com but that has changed now and now users see a nice web app especially designed for their devices.

The web app features a sleek design that is a perfect example of simplicity at its best (something Google is not best known for). You can browse your songs by artist, album, genre, or playlist. As TNW notes, the app also works in the background and users can control the volume with external keys of their devices.

Google has finally released the Blogger app for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. The app is now available in the App Store for download. This new application by Google will allow iOS users to write, draft, and publish new blog posts right on their iOS devices. It also allows users to edit drafted or published articles created on Blogger.com on the go.

You can add photos to the app from your iDevice’s gallery or take a fresh one and upload it directly to your Blogger account using the application.

Google’s new photo sharing service has now gone live and it is accompanied by a very gorgeous iOS app that is now available in the App Store for download. Originally released last month, Photovine has received an update today and now allows everyone to join the service without an invitation, previously the sign up was invitation based only. You can share your photos with your friends and even make new friends using this photo sharing application.

Google has just updated its Google+ app for iOS. Besides usual performance and stability improvements the update brings support for iPod touch and iPad. Unfortunately the app isn’t fully optimized for iPad, Google has just doubled the pixels of iPhone application to fit the iPad screen. The update also adds Huddle settings and fixes the annoying notifications.

Google has rolled out a new user interface for Google.com to enhance the search experience for iPad and other tablet devices. These changes were announced by Google about a month ago and now they have officially rolled them out. Now when you perform a search using Google.com search engine, you will get a sleek and newly designed user-interface specifically designed for large touch-screen devices.

In this new user-interface Google has finally replaced the tiny buttons/links that used to appear in the left column (like they do on desktop computers) with larger easy to see and tap buttons for Web, Images, Videos, News, Books etc.

According to a post by a Google employee Erica Joy on her Google+ account, Google+ app for iOS devices is now awaiting approval by Apple in the App Store. The app for Google+ is already available for Android devices and soon iOS users with Google+ accounts will be able to use the new social network with a native iOS app.

“the Google+ iPhone app has been submitted to the App store (no not today, sometime prior to today) and is awaiting approval.”

If everything went according to the plan and if Apple feels that the app is ready to go in the App Store then we should expect that the app will be available within a week.

Google+ is not yet open for public and is still in beta stages. It would be very interesting if Google releases an iPad dedicated app as well, keeping in mind that its competitor and the largest social network of the world Facebook does not have an iPad app.
