EA has released a brand new and re-imagined version of its classic game Tetris. The new game that became available in the App Store yesterday brings many new features and a new look to the old game everyone loves to play. EA’s Tetris game was already available in the App Store, but it seems as if EA has pulled the older game before releasing the ‘re-imagined’ version. The new features introduced the game include One-touch Marathon mode, Tetris Galaxy, Tetris Log, Tetris Rank, and T-Club. These features are explained below.

Another World game (known as Out of this World in the US) by French game designer Eric Chahi from early 90′s will hit the App Store on 22nd September. This edition has been redesigned and released for iOS devices to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the game . The game is not different from the original classic title at all and features two way controls. Users can choose from on-screen D-pad controls or touch controls.

The game features 3 difficulty modes that are Normal (easier than original game), Difficult (Equal to original game) and Hardcore (more difficult than original game). Another World for iOS will come with full Game Center support with 13 achievements to unlock.

Another World will be released for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on September 22nd for $4.99 in the App Store.

Discovered by MacRumors in the change log of Atari’s Greatest Hits app, this joystick by Atari is something every iPad gamer should own. This new joystick that is officially named “Atari Arcade – Duo Powered” is an add-on for iPad that will allow users to play classic Atari games that are available in the App Store using the classic-style controls.

The application has already been made compatible by Atari for this accessory so we anticipate that it will be released in the market soon, however its official DiscoveryBayGames page says that it will be made available soon without any mention of date or pricing details.

Watee is an upcoming puzzle game for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. The idea of the game is somewhat similar to Chillingo’s Cut the Rope but in this game you have to make way for liquid water and vapor to flow in to the aquarium of the little monster instead of feeding him with his favorite candies. Your pet is named Watee and he lives in a small aquarium that is out of water. Now your job is to make way for the flowing water using anything you could find at your disposal so that it could easily get poured into the aquarium.

The game features a total of 40 different levels that you have to advance to end the game. You have to control the flowing water, steam, and bubbles to pour them into the aquarium placed at bottom of your screen.

After watching the official game video (embedded below) i would definitely want to get my hands on this nice looking fun oriented game. According to the official press release by UNNYHOG Entertainment this game will be released on 26th September.

Fruit Roll by Chillingo brings classic arcade gaming experience to iOS devices. Fruit Roll features simple one-touch controls in which you have to roll your fruit ahead to steamroll or avoid obstacles and enemies on your way. You have to avoid hitting caterpillars, monkeys, and frogs and have to jump over them to finish each level.

A special feature of the gameplay is that you can squish the opposing creatures by rolling onto them, provided they are of the same color as your fruit. You have to collect as much stars as you can on your way and squish as much creatures as you can to gain higher points and bonuses.

To unlock special powers, you need to capture three of the same fruits in a row. These powers include expansion in size, barrels at breakneck speed gobbling coin and fruits, and the ability to run over anything that comes in your path.

Fruit Roll features polished graphics and takes full advantage of your iDevice’s processing capabilities and the background music played during the game would not be disliked by many.

This highly addictive game for iOS has an HD version too i.e especially designed for the larger screen of iPad.

From the makers of insanely popular game Fruit Ninja, JetPack Joyride game for iOS packs crazy gameplay that in my humble opinion will not fail to impress most of the iOS games out there. The official trailer of this game is now live on Youtube and the game is going to hit the App Store on 1st September 2011 according to its creator HalfBrick Studios.

Jetpack Joyride features a lot of awesome vehicles and all of them are unique in their capabilities. The game features a cool character named Barry Steakfries who is wearing a jetpack that he stole from a secret laboratory that shoots bullets and smoke, and can also transform into different vehicles.

Initially the game will feature 5 different vehicles, but don’t worry as the team is already testing a total of 12 prototype vehicles that will be added to the game in coming updates.

EA has recently revealed its upcoming Battlefield 3: Aftershock game for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch at Gamescom gaming event in Germany. Although very few details are known about this game right now but after looking at these images and the gameplay video after the break, it has not failed to impress us.

Just like the previous Battlefield game for iOS, this game is also a first person shooter that features missions that have to be completed in the story mode and also a multiplayer mode for your online gaming pleasure.

Just like the previous version of the game, Battlefield 3: Aftershock’s multiplayer mode allows users compete with the players around the world in Death Match and Team Death Match. You can also add your friends and play as a team with them in the multiplayer mode of the game.

No details about this game’s release are known at this moment. We will keep you posted as the details become available.

Now EA CEO John Riccitiello has said in an interview that now EA’s fastest growing platform these days is Apple’s iPad. He noted that there was a time when 80% of the gaming industry was based on gaming consoles, but that is now history and the future lies in new devices like the iPad.

“Consoles used to be 80% of the industry as recently as 2000. Consoles today are 40% of the game industry, so what do we really have?
