The rumors have resulted to be true as Adobe has announced that its Flash Player will be included with future versions of Google Chrome. That means you don’t have to install Flash player after you install Chrome browser instead it would work as you run the browser for the first time because that would be bundled with the browser itself. So not need for a seperate download for watching flash content on the web such as videos on Youtube.

Microsoft demonstrates IE 9 in an event

On November 18, 2009, in News, by Zaib

Microsoft today demo’ed the build of Internet Explorer 9 at Microsoft’s Professional Developers Conference 2009.

IE 9 will take advantage of the power of the GPU for all page rendering and developers can exploit this using CSS, DHTML and javascript. In just three weeks Microsoft believes performance has increased for IE9 resulting in smoother rendering and improved performance. Interoperability and standards support is increasing and features such as rounded corner CSS support will be built in. A new JS engine will also be built into Internet Explorer 9.

Microsoft has not yet given any date or time frame for it to be released publicly but i guess we will  be able to have sneak peak of it as MS products are leaked before they are meant to released as they have very loyal employees (lolz) !

Steven Sinofsky, President, Windows and Windows Live Division, mentioned that Microsoft had only begun working on Internet Explorer 9 three weeks ago, according to our sources the latest internal build is labeled

Firefox 3.6 Beta Now Available for testing

On October 15, 2009, in News, by Zaib

Firefox 3.6 is now available for download but it is in its beta phase and even beta is not even finalized yet and final version is not out yet. This is just for testing purposes and must not be used on regular bases as bugs and other problems are expected.

As far as new features go, you can expect better JavaScript performance, new version of the rendering engine (Gecko 1.9.2), and the uber-neat tab previews. As far as rotation-related functions, we don’t have a laptop equipped with an accelerometer, but if you do, we’d like

On September 8, 2009, in News, by Zaib

Opera icon-1Opera 10 that was released a week ago has completed its 10 million downloads and downloads are not stopped yet. This is being considered one of the biggest acheivements Opera has acheived. The reason behind its populariy is its super fast speed as we mentioned in our introductory post about its Turbo feature.

Opera 10′s downloads in such big numbers are an evidence that this is a better browser and the users who have downloaded it are happy users and they are seemed satisfied with its performance as i personally interviewed many users who shifted from IE 8 to Opera 10 and are going good with it.

Firefox’s 1 billion

On August 3, 2009, in News, by Zaib

billion-headerMozilla Firefox just announced its 1 billionth download.  Thats huge in my opinion because Firefox is not a movie that someone will download listen for sometime and delete but its an internet browser that is becoming more and more popular as days and years pass. Mozilla team is very happy and celebrating on acheiveing this milestone as it is the result of their hardwork and dedication.

Mozilla on its site speacially launched for this purpose i.e www.onebillionplusyou.com where Mozilla  is shouting with joy on its success as of billion downloads. They are making it look stupid as well as some of the lines indicate that atleast for example

A bowl big enough to fit one billion goldfish would be as big as a stadium.

One billion stacked coins would reach nearly 1,000 miles high.

One billion centimeters is approximately the distance from Chicago to Tokyo.

One billion seconds is roughly 31.7 years And so on that indicates how excited they are.

The browser war after this has been made more complex as IE 8 has already got 200 million downloads. The chrome that is one of the fastest growing browser by Google is also in the race to be No 1 and google won’t let the race go away and will use its web presence to promote its browser. Mozilla marketing team is also very active these days and is advertiseing on many ad delivering services such as Adsense as you might have seen Mozilla Firefox download advertisement on our site as well. Mozilla has confirmed 175 million users earlier this year and keep one more thing in mind that downloads do not represent the users who are currently using the browser. Now we will see expansion of this war as other browser won’t let Mozilla to enjoy the feast very long and will definately come up with their strategy till then we must wait and keep reading ZJTechlive.com
