If you are looking for an app that could replace iPod.app of your iPhone than you should really try Panamp. Panamp brings a unique UI that allows you to search and listen to your music intuitively. It allows users to create playlists with a simple swipe gesture and shows the detailed information of their desired song in a simple tree-view. Read on
Playlist/Dynamic Queues

If you have ever owned an Apple iPod with a click-wheel, then you should be familiar with “on-the-go” feature of that iPod, that allowed users to add any song from their library to the playlist by pressing the center button for a few seconds.
Panamp app features similar functionality but because there’s no center button on iPhone/iPod touch, you have to swipe your finger on the song in order to add it to the playlist. The playlist can be accessed by tapping on the button at the top of the screen.
You can easily delete a song or the entire playlist with a single tap of a button.
Controls

This is something i have always wanted on my music player app when listening to music on an iOS device. In the native iPod.app on iPhone, you have to go to the “Now Playing” page to Play/Pause/Forward/Rewind/Shuffle the song you are currently listening to, but now with Panamp app that problem has been solved.
In Panamp app, there’s a control panel that is always present in the app at the bottom of your screen using which you can control your music.
Power Search:

Power Search is a very useful feature of the app that allows you to locate artists, tracks, or albums quickly and efficiently. To locate related songs from the same album or artist you just need to swipe you finger from right to left on any song and the app will show you other songs on your device from that specific album or artist.
Airplay and iCloud support
Yes, just like the iPod.app, Panamp also supports Airplay feature of your device. That means you can stream music to your Apple TV over Wi-Fi network using this application.
Panamp also supports Apple’s new service iCloud. But of course that feature can be used when iCloud becomes available publicly in the fall.
Whats missing?
Panamp is a great app, but there are a few things that are missing and we would love if the team decides to add these features to their app. Here are the features that we think should be added to this awesome application.
- Similar but redesigned UI especially made for iPad
- On-Screen volume controls
- Artwork/Now Playing page
