According to sources Oxford Dictionary would not be printed on pages anymore and the version that this dictionary will come on from now on will be online version over the internet or in the form of apps that would work on mobile phones, iPads, tablets, and other hand held devices.
“Simon Winchester, author of ‘The Meaning of Everything: The Story of the Oxford English Dictionary’, said the switch towards online formats was “prescient”. He said: “Until six months ago I was clinging to the idea that printed books would likely last for ever. Since the arrival of the iPad I am now wholly convinced otherwise.”
I think its time for printed books to go, its been ages i have consulted that heavy weight dictionary of mine, instead i just open online dictionary sites and consult those for my query.
