Opera Mini for iPhone announced, but wait…Why?

Opera has announced that it will reveal its Opera Mini browser for iPhone next week, and this my friends is not a worn out rumor but a news from authentic and confirmed source that is Opera’s official website. They plan to give us the sneak peak of their latest browser version ie ‘The iPhone version’. We know that there have been issues regarding this because Apple didn’t allow Opera to make a software that could come in the path of it’s Safari web browser. But this time it might be a different game because Opera is very much confident in revealing its software to the public.

“We are thrilled to offer journalists and partners an exclusive preview of Opera Mini for iPhone during the year’s biggest mobile event,” said Jon von Tetzchner, Co-founder, Opera Software.

“This is a unique opportunity to introduce the fast, feature-rich Opera Mini experience for the iPhone, and to showcase our latest beta releases of Opera Mobile and Opera Mini on other platforms and devices. Opera’s mission is to bring the Web to the world, and by making Opera Mini available on yet another platform, we are one step closer”, he added

Or we can consider it as a tactic to attract more users to Opera’s Mobile browsers that are already available and running popularly on platforms like Symbian, Windows Mobile, and Android or we might see an official Cydia store release? Only time will tell.
