After the invention of multi touch screens so many mobiles featuring them have flooded into the markets by different manufacturers. All the high tech mobile that are coming out these days are fully touch screened with two or three buttons on them. Many other mobiles such as Google’s Android and Sony Ericsson’s Xperia have button keyboards on them which can be slided to use but both the phones offer touch screens as well and most of the work is done by them u just need the keyboard buttons to type a message.
Buttons have been part of electronic devices from the day first electrical device was invented but the touch generation is growing and growing fastly and has successfully taken the place of buttons on the phones. Phones have evolved largely not only by softwares but hardwares as well.
But today i am just talking about the keypads on the phones that are fixed on there places as Apple’s Steve Jobs said
“They are there whether you need them or not”
After this quote of his he introduced his revolutionary iPhone. Apple two years ago gave solution to the buttons on the mobiles devices. What they did is instead of hiding them they removed them and placed multi touch screens that had QWERTY keyboard and dial buttons that could not be pressed but had to be touched.
Now because of removing the buttons the screens of the phones have also been enlarged because a lot of space have been taken by them has been emptied.
Now a days all the new phones or the high tech phones released by companies making them are touch screened although smaller phones with less compatibilities are coming with keypads on them.
But one thing we must admit is that touch screens have widen te possibilities of how we can use our mobile phones. thousands of apps available on iPhone are an example.
