Are you a Dell Streak owner and are disappointed of running Cupcake on your device then worry no more as Greenarcher707 just ported Android 2.1 Eclair to his Unlocked Dell Streak. UK Streak owners already have got their hands on an Eclair beta and now you can do it too. He has posted the instructions and by following them you can get Eclair running on your Streak.
- You’ll need to flash Koush’s custom Recovery
- Install the Modaco ROM and flash stock Recovery
- Download the 2.1 package
- Install the 2.1 beta from Recovery
- The last step of rooting is of course optional.
The bugs that have occured are that the auto-rotate does not seem to be working and it is no longer possible to drag apps from the drop-down application list to the Home screen. We hope to see the fix to that soon.
