According to a developer named Steve Troughton-Smith the new Apple TV has set up to install apps. He has confirmed this by using iPhone Explorer (image above). First he figured out that there is not such interface that could help in running the installed app because Apple has not allowed us to but we can hope that someone else would do that for us (hint: hackers).
