With the ability to stream purchased iTunes TV shows to Apple TV, Apple has brought another cool feature that literally takes Apple TV to the cloud. With this new change users will be able to download previously purchased iTunes TV Shows to their Apple TV from iCloud. This is a similar service that was added to the App Store and iTunes music store a few months ago.
Now you would be able to download purchased TV Shows to your Apple TV as well as iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad just like you are able to download previously purchased apps from the ‘Purchased’ section on these devices, provided you are using same Apple ID on all these devices.
Apple has updated its iTunes Store terms and conditions by adding the following info about these new changes.
Notification of an additional type of previously-purchased content that may be subsequently downloaded to certain computers and devices as an accommodation to you, subject to existing association rules; and that such content may be played back on certain devices that are not subject to existing association rules, with limitations.
