MICGadget has got their hands on something that is said to be the “Engineered Prototype” of 64GB iPhone 4. The phone looks to be legit and has XXGB marking on its back just like the model Gizmodo found bought last year. The prototype also shows a model number of 995-6049LL and shows 64GB memory in its about page.
The owner of this engineered prototype told us that he got it from a source who has a small quantity of these prototypes. They are definitely leaked from Foxconn’s factory in Shenzhen.
What is don’t understand is that why Apple wants a 64GB variant of the model that is counting its last months and will be (as it should be) replaced by a new model, only time will tell.
